Ah...a glimmer of interest!! Gotcha! I am willing to bet if you tried tatting you would like it. At first some say the "flip" is daunting on the shuttle but once mastered...voila!! Off you go!!
Arlene, On your podcast you mentioned some referances and pattern books. One I believe was Japanese. Could you please post a link? Thank you for your Podcast. I live in a rural area and appreciate your being able to give some clearity to the internet anomity.
Really enjoyed the episode. Can't wait to see pics of your afghan squares. I'll pop on over to Ravelry and see if you posted them yet.
Congratulations to your winners. The tatting you've been up do looks very nice.
dear arlene,
i am a new tatter. i just taught myself to needle tat in jan. using barbara foster's book. i had bought it some time ago but hadn't taken the time to sit down with it to learn. about the only thing i can do are simple butterflies. my husband was laid off from his job of 25 years one year ago this march. i have looked on the internet for patterns but most of them use a split ring which i don't know how to do. i am addicted though so i will just continue making my little butterflies.i want you to know i love your podcast. my husband found it for me. he loaded up my ipod with all of the ones that were available. i finished listening to them last night. i was sad when the last one was over. there are people out there listening. i will be looking forwardto your next one. keep it up you are doing a great job.
